Defeat Is Not the End
It hasn`t been the best of starts to the defence of their La Liga title for Real Madrid.
Results have contrived to leave the club some eleven points behind, but with a game in hand, Barcelona, our main rivals for the title.
There are fears that if Barcelona stroll into the Bernabe and take the three points the defence of the title will have come to an end, before the turn of the year.
But Zinedine Zidane, having guided the side to a record-equalling third FIFA Club World Cup Final win, is having none of that talk.
At his pre-match press conference, ahead of the first 'El Clasico` of the season, Zidane spoke about a defeat not being the end, remarking,
'We have to not think about the difference in points. I don't think it's a decisive match in terms of the league.
'You have to think positively. We're very good and better in each area of the field. Even if we lose, the league will not be over.'
Is Zidane correct?
Could we possibly, if the worst happens, close a gap of the magnitude of fourteen points?
