Gremio Looking to Surprise Real Madrid in World Club Cup

Gremio Looking to Surprise Real Madrid in World Club Cup

This evening, Real Madrid will be hoping to beat the Brazilian side, Gremio, to win the FIFA World Club Cup Final.

The final pitches Real Madrid, the Champions League winners against the winners of the Copa Libertadores, Gremio.

Many pundits make Real Madrid the hot favourites to win the final, but the Brazilian side are no mugs.

After beating the Mexican side, Pachuca, in the semi-final, Gremio are looking to pull off a shock and their striker, Luan, has a few words of warning for anyone in the Real Madrid squad who might be feeling a little complacent with the striker remarking on the eve of the game,

'Every side in the tournament has got quality. We had a tough game against Pachuca, and Madrid had a tough game too. The matches have been close.

'What we have to do is show why we became South American champions. We've got the quality to take on Madrid.

'We play with a lot of desire. They're the favourites, of course, because they've got great players and the best player in the world (Cristiano Ronaldo).

'We want to perform the same way we've been doing all year - with the style and the type of football that helped us win the Libertadores.'

It has the promise of being a thrilling encounter, let`s hope Real Madrid emerge victorious.
