Al Jazira 1 Real Madrid 2
In Dubai, Real Madrid took on Al Jazira for a place in the Wold Club Final.
Real Madrid were expected to be far too good for their opponents but Al Jazira did themselves proud and were only beaten by a late goal by Real Madrid.
The minnows had taken the lead in the first half when Romarinho, a Brazilian, scored.
With the virtual assistant referee in use, Real Madrid were relieved when a striker by Mbark Boussoufa was ruled out for offside, to prevent the 1-0 deficit becoming 2-0.
Cristiano Ronaldo restored some sanity to the score-line when he equalised, the goal being his sixth in FIFA World Club Cups, a record.
With the game looking as if it would end in a draw after ninety minutes, Gareth Bale came to the rescue.
Bale, on as a substitute, scored with his very first touch, to give Real Madrid a 2-1 win.
Real Madrid will now play Gremio in the final on Saturday.
