Real Madrid 5 Sevilla 0
Real Madrid took the three points on offer, against Sevilla, with a devastating first-half display.
Looking to keep the pressure up on Barcelona, Real Madrid did just that, scoring FIVE times in the first forty-five minutes.
With both regular centre-backs missing through suspension, it was one of their replacements, Nacho who started the goal rush. As early as the third minute Nacho was on hand to score, netting a corner from Kroos.
Cristiano Ronaldo then got in on the act scoring brace, both goals being fine examples of team play.
Leading 3-0, Real Madrid were looking to put this game to bed and the lead was extended to four when Ronaldo won the ball and found Kroos who carried the ball forward before passing to Vazquez who crossed for Kroos to guide the ball home.
With half-time approaching, Real Madrid netted a fifth when a move involving Ronaldo and Kroos resulted in Hakim scoring his first goal for the club.
The second half was never going to match the first-half and the closest Real Madrid came to making it six was when a cross from Marcelo was headed against the post by Benzema.
Hopefully, Villarreal can take something off Barcelona when they meet on Sunday to make the weekend even more productive for Real Madrid.
