Chelsea to Reject Real Madrid`s Advances for Keeper
Real Madrid`s quest to bring a goalkeeper to the Bernabeu has been well documented by the media.
With it being highly unlikely that Manchester United will part with David de Gea, the name of another goalkeeper playing in the English Premier League has been mentioned as a possible target.
The keeper in question is the 25-year-old Belgian international Thibaut Courtois, currently on the books of Chelsea.
Football followers in Madrid will know all about the excellent qualities Courtois possesses after he spent a couple of seasons on loan, from Chelsea, with our neighbours Atletico Madrid.
But it seems, as was the case with David de Gea, bringing Courtois to the Bernabeu will be just as difficult.
According to the UK news source, The Sun on Sunday, Chelsea are in no hurry to lose their prized asset.
In fact, our aforementioned source is championing the inference that the current English Premier League club would rather keep the player until his contract expires in the summer of 2019 than sell him to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
A piece of transfer speculation to keep an eye on maybe?
