Real Madrid XI At Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid XI At Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid's season continued with a narrow win against Alaves at the weekend.

Now we move forward and go again against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this evening.

That win on Saturday, which was certainly a much needed one, was secured thanks to a brace from summer signing Dani Ceballos on his first start, had seen Zinedine Zidane start with this XI at the Mendizorrotza Stadium.

Keylor Navas
Dani Carvajal
Raphael Varane
Sergio Ramos
Nacho
Daniel Ceballos
Casemiro
Isco
Lucas
Cristiano Ronaldo
Marco Asensio

What changes do you think Zidane will make to the XI when Los Blancos come up against Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion (Tuesday, 7:45pm kick off) for this crucial Champions League meeting?

Obviously it goes without saying a strong XI would be expected as always.

A number of those above, who feel they're first-team regulars if you will; would think they'll have more a chance of keeping a place but having confirmed the 20 man squad this isn't going to be possible for all concerned.

Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla and Luca.
Defender: Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Achraf and Tejero.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Marcos Llorente, Asensio, Isco and Ceballos.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Mayoral.

Let us know what XI you could see us going with - from those included - or indeed would like us to go with?

Meanwhile, Marcos Llorente could be one of those who does play as he looks to celebrate his new deal.

This was confirmed this week when the midfielder put pen to paper on a new four year deal as he became the latest to commit his future to the Santiago Bernabeu as Real continue to tie players down.

A statement on realmadrid.com read: 'Marcos Llorente has signed his contract extension with Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu board room accompanied by club president Florentino Pérez. The Whites' midfielder will remain with the club until the 30th June 2021. After signing, he received a replica of the Cibeles fountain and a shirt with his name and the number 2021 on the back.'
