Bale Backed For Premier League Impact

Bale Backed For Premier League Impact

The European Super Cup in Macedonia, as Real Madrid took on Manchester United, could potentially be a telling moment in the career of Gareth Bale.

Well, telling in as much as what the future holds for him at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Speculation surrounding a Bale exit from Real hasn't reached the level it has this summer and the scales are probably tipped towards the probability of the forward leaving La Liga than staying.

However, my gut feeling remains we'll see Bale pulling on the shirt of the Whites for at least one more campaign.

Jose Mourinho has made his thoughts on Bale's situation clear, the former Real boss, of course in charge at Man United now, felt Tuesday could provide the answer to a lot of questions and is waiting to mount his bid for the Welshman if he's deemed surplus to requirements.

International teammate Sam Vokes has backed Bale to be a huge star in the Premier League again should he leave Real. The Burnley forward knows him well from action with Wales.

Vokes told Sky Sports: 'He'd be huge. He's a fantastic talent. It'd be great to watch and I can only speak from playing on the international stage but he's been huge for Wales there and he's a great talent.'

'He stands out. He's world class, you can see that everyday in training. He trains hard and put the effort in every day and you can see that watching him.'

Does the fact Bale started in Macedonia make it certain, as Mourinho thought it would, the Welshman WILL stay at the Bernabeu this season?
