On The Right Track

On The Right Track

Keylor Navas, who looks set to be the Real Madrid number one again this season, feels the pre-season hard work will pay off.

Real ended the tour of the USA with a penalty shootout win over the MLS All-Stars, ahead of the UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United, with Navas telling realmadrid.com we'll be fully 'focused' when it comes to the official competition.

'We worked hard in pre-season and the team are strong physically, that is important for us going into official competition,' said Navas.

'We're on the right track. We have details to iron out but we mustn't worry, we need to keep calm. In the preseason, despite the physical work, we couldn't get into the games 100%, but in official competition we will be focussed.'

He's feeling positive and excited himself for this game and the season ahead.

Navas is also feeling positive, believing Real have a strong enough team to secure trophies again this season. The goalkeeper also said he's confident in his own ability to hold down his place.

'I'm happy to have been in the preseason preparations, as last year I missed it through injury. I came here feeling excited and I can't wait to start the season. I'm going to continue with a positive mind-set, giving everything for the team in order to win titles, which is the best thing in football. We're all here to win. We know it is tough and we have tough rivals, but we have a strong team that plays well and we can win.'

Meanwhile, as for his Navas' own place, the most recent poll we ran made it clear the majority who voted, believe the Colombian should be the first choice keeper.

Not only should he it's believed he rightly will be the shot-stopper Zinedine Zidane goes with.

What the poll asked?
Will Keylor Navas be no.1 this season?

How you could vote?
