El Clasico Ideal Preparation For Real Madrid

El Clasico Ideal Preparation For Real Madrid

As the best club in the world Real Madrid are aware even the pre-season preparations will see us come up against the top clubs, which has been the case so far this summer and continues against fierce rivals Barcelona in Miami.

Having faced Manchester United and Manchester City so far in America the next challenge is of course in El Clásico against Barca, which Sergio Ramos views as ideal preparation for the season ahead.

If Real want to again be the best we'll have to overcome top sides and the Los Blancos captain has been quoted by as saying these sorts of games, especially El Clásico, are perfect to get the club set for the upcoming challenging season.

'Over the last years the club has decided to play against the best teams in the world. It is a real spectacle for the fans. For us, el clásico is the best way to start the season. Experiencing a Clásico will prepare us for what lies ahead. We have a lot of titles to defend and facing the very best is always a plus.'

Despite winning all there is to win in the game Ramos remains as motivated as ever to achieve success and wants to win all he can during this campaign and the years ahead 'for as long as possible at the top level.'

Looking back to the City defeat he said: 'We don't like to lose, even in friendly games. The result was bad but we worked hard, and they had a game advantage over us. We are training well and getting up to scratch. Tomorrow we will try our best, and if we can win then that is great.'

As Real continue to be linked with Monaco's Kylian Mbappe the defender was quizzed about the forward in this news conference. Ramos said he 'looks to be a good player with a bright future' but wouldn't be drawn too much on talking about another clubs' player.

He said: 'That is all hypothetical, talking about players who are not from our club is a waste of time. He looks to be a good player with a bright future, I'm not going to disrespect what people say, but talking about players who are not from Real Madrid is a waste of time. Over the last few years we have done well in terms of titles and that is a sign that we have many of the best players.'
