Bale Speculation Stupid & Ridiculous
Gareth Bale will be leaving Real Madrid in the coming week then... well; this is what the media would have you believe.
Zinedine Zidane's quite frankly honest, certainly fair, assessment 'anything could happen' between now and 31st August has been translated as the Real boss saying Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema would leave the Santiago Bernabeu before the summer window closes.
Admittedly, the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco could well place the future of one of the 'BBC' trio under threat. However, Zidane wasn't actually saying anyone would leave, almost the completely the opposite, he was merely being a realist as Zizou wasn't ruling anything out.
What did he say then? This: 'I hope the BBC stay for this season. I hope everyone remains. I want everyone who is here now to stay...but anything can happen right up until August 31.'
Instantly, despite Jose Mourinho insisting Manchester United had accepted Bale wouldn't be sold as he was a 'mission impossible' the Welshman was yet again back on the United radar and heading to Old Trafford.
Bale has no interest in leaving and so-called fresh rumours of a Real exit for United have been meet with his agent, Jonathan Barnett, telling the BBC 'it's a ridiculous, stupid story.'
Under contract until 2022, having extended his deal last October, stressing several times himself how happy he is in Madrid, Bale, who will again compete with Isco, a more than capable deputy last season, isn't going anywhere.
One day United, failing in 2007 when Bale left Southampton for Tottenham and again in 2013 when he joined Real for a then world record fee, could sign the Welsh international but this day isn't going to be in the immediate future.
