Isco's Barcelona Threat If Real Do Chelsea Deal
Alvaro Morata could hold the key to Real Madrid finally doing a deal with Chelsea for Eden Hazard? It was recently been claimed the Premier League champions will step up an interest on Morata after Manchester United dropped out so the Spanish international could head to Stamford Bridge if the Belgian can feature in a deal.
Should that happen Isco has threatened to leave. He could, if not would, join bitter rivals Barcelona, according to Diario Gol.
Isco, along with Marco Asensio, has grown in stature, along with importance to the side, in the past six to 12 months and the departure if James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich would have further enhanced their first team chances this season - not that James really figured in Zinedine Zidane's plans.
The arrival of Dani Ceballos does pose a threat to both after coming in from Real Betis last week but there's room in the squad, albeit not the starting XI, of course, for all three.
Both - Isco and Asensio - are 'tired of listening to Zidane's compliments at almost every press conference', said Diario Gol. They want to believe Zizou has faith in them to be involved regularly without the added competition of Hazard.
Adding: 'At this time, the tension can be cut with a knife. Isco knows he will have to fight Modric and Bale for a spot in the eleven, but he does not want more competition. If he arrives, he will threaten to leave.'
Not only could Isco leave he would do so on a free transfer if he is snubbed this season, with Hazard arriving. In fact the Spanish international will see out the final 12 months of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu before delivering the ultimate blow of swapping Real for Barcelona.
The forward would wait knowing he has added the insult to Los Blancos of knowing he's not only left for Barca but done this for nothing, becoming the first player to cross this divide since Javier Saviola.
