Video - Atletico Madrid 2-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid were beaten by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

If Atletico Madrid were to turn the 3-0 first leg deficit around they would need something special. This looked possible with the host two up inside 20 minutes but Real Madrid weathered the Atleti storm, a 2-1 defeat on the night saw us through 4-2 on aggregate.

Atletico Madrid, ahead through Saul Niguez's header on 12 minutes doubled the lead with Antoine Griezmann's penalty just four minutes later. Real, knowing an away goal would effectively kill the tie, got this ahead of the interval when Isco followed up, a 61st game in a row in which Los Blancos has scored, in all competitions.

This video shows the highlights from this game at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
